Gary Smith is a founding principal of the Jokake Companies and leads the real estate related activities for Jokake Real Estate Services and Jokake Holdings, the real estate services company and the investment holdings company respectively. He is primary to all investor relations for the real estate projects that Jokake Companies manages. Gary received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona and is a licensed Arizona Real Estate Broker. He has served on the University of Arizona Alumni Board, Phoenix Executive Council, Scottsdale Charros, Maricopa County Farm Bureau and the Board of Directors for the Paloma Irrigation and Drainage District.
Mike Smith
Mike Smith is a founding principal of the Jokake Companies and founded Jokake Construction Company which is a preeminent commercial tenant improvement general contractor with an emphasis on constructing in occupied environments. Mike was the President and CEO of the company until he sold it to its employees in 2010. Mike was also a founder and CEO of Superior Marble, a white marble mining and processing company located 60 miles east of Phoenix. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
Jill Clements
With over 28 years’ experience in the business of real estate Jill’s knowledge and experience encompass a wide variety of property and transaction types. Her experience includes residential, multi-family, industrial and commercial development, construction and sales as well as land entitlement, brokerage, transaction management, asset and property management.

Jill is a licensed Arizona Real Estate Broker and has served on the Board of the Papago Salado Foundation and is a member of the Urban Land Institute where she was co-chair of the Knowledge Series programs and served on the membership committee.
She is a member of the Urban Plan program which takes real estate planning into local High Schools introducing economics students to the public process of land development. Former affiliations include the National Multi-Housing Council, Homebuilders Association of Central Arizona, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and Valley Partnership. Jill oversees operations for the Jokake Family of Companies with an emphasis on corporate governance, contracts and asset management.
Erica Veach
Erica is our Accounting Manager, she has been with Jokake since March of 2015. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from the College of Business & Economics at California State University, Northridge. She comes to us with 15 years’ experience in accounting with a background private & publicly traded manufacturing as well as the not for profit service and entertainment industries. Erica oversees our accounting department as well as running financial analysis on new and existing projects. She a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and is currently enrolled in their CMA program.
Suzi Shoemaker
Suzi joined the Jokake Real Estate Services team in 2015 heading up the Jokake La Tierra project and acquiring properties throughout Arizona. She is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Arizona and a former high school and college teacher. She changed careers after 20 years in the classroom to pursue an interest in real estate and investing.

Suzi is a multi-generation Arizona native. She has a BS in Secondary Science Education from the University of Arizona and MAT in Physical Science from Northern Arizona. She is also highly involved with her two children and has volunteered extensively as a 4-H Community Club Leader, High School Band Booster, and has been known to keep stats at high school and club baseball games upon request. Her hobbies include photography, cycling, running, fitness, horses, and livestock. She and her family are also avid baseball fans attending MLB games whenever and wherever possible.
